Kedar Deshpande

Kedar Deshpande has served as Director of Commercial and Business Development of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi since June 2022. He brings extensive international experience in business development, infrastructure investment, strategic partnerships, and airport projects under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) schemes. Prior to joining PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, he served as Head of Business Development – Southeast Asia at GMR Airports Limited from 2014. In this role, he was part of the team that executed the Kualanamu International Airport Strategic Partnership project from the early stages of the process in 2017. In addition to Indonesia, he led various project bidding processes in the Philippines, Thailand, and Myanmar. His experience encompasses a wide range of strategic projects, including U-Tapao International Airport in Thailand, the Clark International Airport EPC project in the Philippines, the Manila International Airport development proposal, as well as the evaluation of various airport investment opportunities in Indonesia, including Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Batam, along with related projects such as Bali Duty Free. Before joining GMR Airports, he worked in the renewable energy sector, focusing on the development of solar energy solutions for manufacturing industries in India and East Africa. He also gained experience with a renewable energy start-up engaged in renewable energy certificates, energy efficiency, and renewable purchase obligations; a biotechnology company marketing biosimilar products in Latin America and the Middle East; and a consumer goods company focused on developing sales networks across India. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate qualification in Business Management. With more than 21 years of experience in international business development, financial and legal due diligence, joint ventures, new market development, strategic marketing, and infrastructure projects, he plays a key role in strengthening the business growth and commercial development of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, contributing to the enhanced competitiveness of Kualanamu International Airport as an international aviation gateway.
