Ravishankar Saravu

Ravishankar Saravu has served as the Managing Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi since June 2022. He is a senior professional with more than 24 years of experience in airport infrastructure development, airport commercial management, business development, and the manufacturing sector. Before joining PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, he served as Chief Commercial Adviser at GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation in the Philippines from April 2014. The company develops and operates Mactan-Cebu International Airport. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies, including air traffic development, revenue management, and business growth initiatives. Previously, he served as General Manager – Commercial and Business Development at GMR Airports Limited in Bangalore from January 2011 to March 2014. As the head of business development for the airport business, he led growth initiatives involving the acquisition and development of airport projects under various models, particularly public-private partnership schemes. His experience includes involvement in projects across India, the Philippines, Brazil, Türkiye, Indonesia, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and other markets. From February 2007 to December 2010, he worked as Executive Assistant to the Group Chairman at GMR Infrastructure Limited in Bangalore. In this position, he was involved in institutional development, business development, and organizational strengthening across several GMR Group business sectors, including airports, highways, property development, engineering, procurement and construction, special economic zones, and sports. He holds an engineering background and a postgraduate qualification in business management. Drawing on his extensive international and cross-sector experience, he contributes to strengthening commercial strategy, business growth, and the development of Kualanamu International Airport as a competitive, internationally recognized aviation hub.
