Plan to arrive at least 1.5–2 hours before your domestic departure schedule. Check traffic conditions before leaving home, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours. Upon arrival, follow signs to the domestic departures terminal. Porters are available at the terminal entrance if you need help carrying baggage.

Check in at the airline counter matching your ticket, or use the Self Check-in machines available in the departures area to save time. Most airlines also offer Web Check-in through their official app or website before your departure day. Drop off baggage destined for the aircraft baggage compartment at the baggage drop counter — make sure not to pack dangerous goods, sharp objects, or excess liquids in your suitcase. Keep your boarding pass, physical or digital, for use at security screening and the gate.

Web check-in is available for most airlines and can save you time.

Security Screening

10–20 min

Prepare your boarding pass and identification (National ID Card, Driving Licence, or Passport) before entering the security screening area. Place all electronics such as laptops and tablets, and metal objects such as watches, belts, and keys, into the screening tray before walking through the metal detector gate. Liquids, gels, and aerosols are limited to 100ml per item and must be placed in a clear resealable plastic bag. Follow security officer instructions throughout the screening process.

Waiting Area

30–60 min

After passing security screening, you enter the departure waiting area. Monitor the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) screens throughout the area for your gate number and flight status. Enjoy various restaurant, café, and retail options available. Make sure you are at the correct gate at least 30–45 minutes before your scheduled departure as boarding may close early.

Listen for the boarding announcement through the audio system in the waiting area and on FIDS screens. Proceed immediately to the gate shown on your boarding pass when boarding begins. Show your boarding pass (physical or in-app) and ID to gate staff. Follow the boarding queue according to your airline's group or zone assignment. Make sure you are on board before departure time — the gate closes 15 minutes before departure.
